Happy Saturday! Judging by your responses to this week’s standard edition, this week has been a WHIRLWIND for most of us.
I’m really proud of us for making it through. But here’s the other thing: I want us to embrace rest.
These weeks, when everything is chaos, we have to build in time to breathe. We have to allow our bodies and minds to take time off—if nothing else—so we can continue pushing through the chaos.
I’m mostly saying this because I need to hear it myself. I need to hear that I deserve unproductive rest. My mind needs to turn off, and my body needs to recharge.
Maybe you need to hear it too. So, let this be your excuse to take a moment (or even maybe a day?) this weekend to do absolutely nothing but rest.
At least, that’s what I’m doing tomorrow, and anyone who sees me do otherwise has permission to yell at me.
